Schrodinger's Cat
Based on the famous thought experiment, "Schrodinger's Cat" questions the nature of reality. Quantum physics tells us that reality is a set of potentials, that exist in a fluid state (the cat is both alive AND dead.) It's the observer who determines which potential state comes into reality (cat is alive OR dead). In its humorous way this work addresses the fluid nature of reality, and asks us to consider how many multiple versions of reality there are. Created using layers of recycled plexiglass, paint and arduino micro chips, Schrodingers Cat slowly changes from its "alive" state to its "dead" state in an endless loop.
